Our factory specializes in the production of connecting elements that meet the strict requirements of the standardDIN 2566. We understand that in an industrial piping system, the reliability of the connection determines the safety of the entire process. Therefore, we do not just sell metal products, but provide an engineering solution for aggressive environments and high pressures. The key product of our portfolio ishigh quality stainless steel flange DIN 2566 factorywhich is guaranteed by quality control at every stage of melting and machining. Unlike resellers, we control the chemical composition of the steel, the geometry of the sealing surface and compliance with dimensional tolerances directly in the workshops.
The market is overflowing with offers, but the real problem of the buyer is not the availability of goods in the warehouse, but in confirming its origin and properties. When you order flanges for the chemical or food processing industries, a mistake in material selection can cost millions of dollars in losses due to downtime or accidents. Our company operates on the principle of transparency: each quality certificate is tied to a specific casting batch. We supply products that have undergone hydraulic testing and flaw detection before shipment. This is not a marketing ploy, but a mandatory procedure for any serious manufacturer working on projects in the oil and gas sector.
The DIN 2566 standard regulates the parameters of flat weld flanges designed to operate over a wide range of pressures and temperatures. Understanding these parameters is critical for proper equipment selection. Many engineers make the mistake of selecting a flange based on pipe diameter alone, ignoring the pressure rating and seal material. Our production is set up to produce products that fully comply with European standards, but at the same time adapted to real operating conditions in the CIS countries and Europe.
The main feature of the design according to DIN 2566 is the presence of a protruding part (hub), which ensures the rigidity of the connection and the correct positioning of the gasket. We use steel grades AISI 304, AISI 316L, as well as Russian analogues 08Х18Н10 and 10Х17Н13М2Т. The choice of a specific brand depends on the medium that the pipeline will transport. For example, chloride service requires steel with molybdenum added (316L) to prevent pitting corrosion. Our metallurgists strictly monitor the content of alloying elements, since even a small deviation can reduce the service life of the product several times.
Pressure and temperature are two interrelated factors that determine flange selection. The DIN 2566 standard provides for various pressure versions: PN6, PN10, PN16, PN25, PN40 and higher. It is important to remember that the nominal pressure (PN) is specified at ambient temperature (usually 20°C). As the temperature rises, the permissible operating pressure decreases. In our practice, there was a case where a customer used a PN16 flange for a medium with a temperature of 300°C without recalculation, which led to deformation of the sealing surface and leakage. We always provide tables of permissible pressures for each steel grade at different temperatures to eliminate such risks.
The geometry of the sealing surface also plays a decisive role. DIN 2566 flanges can be smooth, tongue-and-groove or tongue-and-groove. For most general applications, a smooth surface with defined notches (Rz) is sufficient to ensure a secure fit for the soft pad. However, for gas or high pressure applications, we recommend a tongue and groove design that centers the gasket and prevents it from being pushed out. Our CNC machines ensure surface precision down to microns, which is the key to a tight connection.
Quality control at our factory includes several stages. First, incoming metal inspection is carried out using a spectral analyzer. The forging and turning processes are then monitored. Finished products undergo visual inspection, measurement of geometric parameters with gauges and, if necessary, ultrasonic testing. Each flange is branded according to the standard, which indicates the steel grade, heat number, pressure and manufacturer’s logo. This allows you to track the history of the product in case questions arise in the future.
Material selection is often a stumbling block when drawing up specifications. To simplify this task, we have prepared a comparative table of the main steel grades used in our production. This data is based on real-life testing and many years of experience in a variety of industries.
| Parameter | AISI 304 (08Х18Н10) | AISI 316L (03Х17Н14М3) | AISI 321 (08Х18Н10Т) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Application | Food industry, water, weak acids | Chemical industry, sea water, chlorides | High temperature environments, exhaust systems |
| Corrosion resistance | Good in oxidizing environments | Excellent, especially against pitting | Good, resistant to intergranular corrosion |
| Max. operating temperature | up to 400°C (short term) | up to 450°C | up to 600°C (thanks to titanium) |
| Cost | Basic | 20-30% higher due to molybdenum | Average, depends on the price of titanium |
| Factory recommendation | For general applications and food production | For aggressive environments and coastlines | For systems with cyclic heating |
Please note that the price of a 316L steel flange is higher not simply because of the cost of the raw material, but because of the difficulty of processing it. This steel is more tough and requires special cutting and cooling conditions. Cheap alternatives often do not contain enough molybdenum, making them useless in salt water. We never replace steel grades without agreement with the customer, even if this increases the cost of the project. System reliability is more important than savings at the procurement stage.
Flange production is more than just machining a workpiece. This is a complex technological cycle, starting with the selection of a charge for smelting. In our plant, we use electric arc furnaces followed by vacuum degassing to remove harmful impurities such as hydrogen and nitrogen that can cause metal brittleness. After casting, the ingots are forged. Forging changes the structure of the metal, making it fibrous and strong, unlike castings, which are grainy and prone to pitting.
One of our clients encountered the problem of flanges breaking after six months of operation. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the supplier used a casting method instead of forging to save costs. Cast flanges are cheaper to produce, but their mechanical properties are significantly lower, especially under shock loads. Since then, we have introduced mandatory marking of the manufacturing method (forging/casting) and carry out ultrasonic testing of each batch of forged workpieces. This allows you to identify internal defects that are invisible to the eye.
Heat treatment is another critical step. After forging and roughing, the flanges are quenched and tempered or carbide dissolved (for austenitic steels). This process relieves internal stress and restores corrosion resistance damaged by deformation. Violation of the tempering temperature regime can lead to the steel becoming too soft or, conversely, brittle. Our ovens are equipped with automatic temperature loggers that record the heating and cooling schedule for each load. This data is stored in an archive and can be provided to the customer upon request.
Finishing includes turning the seats, drilling holes for bolts and applying threads (if required). The holes for the bolts must be located strictly symmetrically relative to the axis of the pipe. Displacement of the holes even by 1-2 mm can make installation impossible without the use of force, which will create additional stress in the connection. We use multi-position machining centers that guarantee high precision hole placement. In addition, we control the perpendicularity of the flange end to the pipe axis to ensure uniform tightening of the bolts.
Packaging and labeling complete the production cycle. Stainless steel flanges are sensitive to contact with carbon steel, which can cause initial corrosion. That's why we package each product individually in plastic wrap and use wooden pallets with no metal staples in contact with the product. The marking is applied by electrochemical method or laser so as not to damage the protective oxide layer. The tag indicates all the necessary information: standard, size, pressure, steel grade, batch number and production date.
The issue of logistics often becomes a decisive factor when choosing a supplier. Many companies promise low prices but miss delivery dates, leaving the construction site without critical items. Our plant operates according to a planning system that allows us to guarantee shipment times. For standard flange sizes DIN 2566 from stock, shipment is possible within 3-5 working days. If a non-standard design or large volume is required, the production time is from 15 to 25 days, depending on the workload of the workshops.
We work with both large wholesale orders and small batches for repair needs. The minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom production is usually 50 pieces of one size, but we try to accommodate customers and combine small orders into one heat to reduce the cost for the customer. For regular partners, we create a safety stock of popular items in our warehouse, which allows us to ship products almost instantly after receiving an application.
The geography of our supplies covers not only the domestic market, but also neighboring countries and Europe. We have experience in sending goods by rail, road and sea transport. Each batch is accompanied by a full set of documents: waybill, invoice, quality certificate and certificate of conformity. When exporting, we assist with customs clearance and provide documents in English or the language of the destination country. The presence of EAC and ISO 9001 certificates facilitates the passage of customs procedures and the acceptance of products by the customer’s technical supervision.
Pricing at our plant is transparent and depends on several factors: the current exchange price of nickel and chromium, order volume, processing complexity and delivery conditions. We do not use hidden markups. In the commercial offer, we describe in detail the cost of a unit of production, packaging and delivery to the carrier’s terminal. For large projects, we are ready to fix the price for the entire period of the contract, protecting the customer from fluctuations in exchange rates and metal prices.
Payment is made by bank transfer. For new clients we work on an advance payment basis, but for trusted partners a deferred payment or letter of credit form of payment is possible. We value long-term relationships and are ready to discuss individual terms of cooperation. Our goal is to become a trusted link in your supply chain, not just a one-time seller.
Even the highest quality flange can fail if installed incorrectly. Statistics show that up to 60% of leaks in flange connections are caused by installer errors rather than product defects. Knowing these mistakes will help you avoid problems in the future. The first and most common mistake is uneven tightening of bolts. Installers often tighten bolts in circles, which causes the flange to skew and the gasket to compress unevenly. The correct technique involves tightening crosswise in several passes while controlling the force with a torque wrench.
The second mistake is using the wrong gaskets. The gasket must be softer than the flange material to provide a seal, but strong enough to withstand pressure. Using paronite in high-pressure systems or Teflon at high temperatures without reinforcement often leads to gasket extrusion. We recommend using spiral wound gaskets with restrictor rings for pressures above PN16. Our specialists are always ready to advise on the selection of sealing elements for a specific task.
The third problem is contamination of the sealing surface. Even a small grain of sand or scale caught between the flange and the gasket can become a channel for the leakage of aggressive media. Before installation, surfaces must be thoroughly cleaned and degreased. Also, you should not use carbon steel wire brushes to clean stainless steel, as this will introduce iron particles and subsequent rust. Use only stainless steel or brass tools.
The fourth mistake is overtightening the bolts. The desire to “tighten it tighter” often leads to plastic deformation of the studs or damage to the gasket. Bolts must be tightened to a torque based on the strength class of the bolts and the characteristics of the gasket. Over-tightened bolts lose their elasticity over time (metal creep), and the connection weakens. We provide recommended torque charts for each bolt size and grade with our products.
The fifth aspect is thermal expansion. In systems with large temperature differences, flange, bolt and pipe materials expand at different rates. This may cause the connection to loosen when heated. In such cases, it is recommended to re-tighten the bolts after the first heating and cooling cycle of the system. Ignoring this requirement often leads to accidents in the first months of operation.
The pipeline fittings market is huge, but finding a truly reliable partner is difficult. Many companies are only resellers who are not responsible for the quality of the product. Working directly with the factory, you get a number of undeniable advantages. Firstly, this is the price. The absence of intermediary markups allows us to offer competitive conditions even for small order volumes. Secondly, it's control. You can be sure that you receive exactly the material and the execution that you ordered.
Thirdly, it is flexibility. Factory production allows you to make changes to the design to meet the specific requirements of the project. We do not need to coordinate every change with the head office in another country. Engineers and technologists are located in the same building as production and can quickly solve any problem. Whether it’s a non-standard hole diameter, special markings or urgent production of a batch for emergency repairs, we are ready to mobilize resources for the sake of the client.
Our experience in the industry exceeds 15 years. During this time, we have completed hundreds of orders for energy, petrochemical, shipbuilding and housing and communal services facilities. We know the specifics of working in different climatic zones - from arctic cold to tropical heat. Our flanges successfully work on drilling platforms in the North Sea and on pipelines in Siberia. This experience allows us to anticipate potential problems and provide solutions before they arise.
We invest in technology development and equipment fleet renewal. Regular modernization allows us to increase productivity and improve product quality. We implement computer-aided design (CAD/CAM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, which makes our processes transparent and efficient. Customers can track the status of their order online, receiving up-to-date information on production and shipping progress.
Customer trust is our main asset. We value our reputation and stand behind the quality of our products with a guarantee. If a manufacturing defect is detected (which is extremely rare due to multi-stage control), we assume all costs of replacing the product and delivery. This position distinguishes us from companies that try to evade responsibility by citing improper operation or the actions of third parties.
